Nettie and Lucy’s youngest daughter Gabby had a great week in the West of the World in Devon and Cornwall last week. They were visiting Jeremy Sanders to collect new work for our 2nd Quarterly Collection, and paid visits to Mark Spain and sculptor Suzie Marsh.
Jeremy Sanders made the move to Lands End with husband Tony a couple of months ago, and the Cornish coastline has given fresh inspiration for Jeremy’s oils which are always flooded with colour and light. We will be featuring Jeremy’s work in our Quarterly Collection which opens on the 27th and 28th of May. Jeremy Sanders
Nettie took Jeremy, Tony and Gabby along to Marazion to meet Mark and Sheila Spain who have a holiday home there. Mark and Sheila are biding their time until they can make the move permanently to this part of the world, and you can hardly blame them, as they have a view of St Michael’s Mount and can watch dolphins from their garden! Mark Spain They finished the evening with a performance of ‘Good Night Mr Tom’ (Gabby’s favourite book) at the Minnack Theatre with a full moon to boot!
Last stop was to Suzie and Doug Marsh in North Cornwall near Delabole. They have moved into an old millhouse complete with pond and a semi resident peacock who their five cats give sufficient respect to! Suzie’s studio is now set up and she is back on track with producing her beautiful animal sculptures, so much so that she has promised us a feature in 2018! Suzie Marsh
